- Respect diversity: Acknowledge and respect students’ cultural, religious, linguistic, and personal identities.
- Promote equity: Ensure all students have fair access to learning opportunities, regardless of ability, background, or circumstances.
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students: Foster cultural safety and awareness, respecting heritage and perspectives.
- Support students with disability: Provide reasonable adjustments where appropriate, and follow guidance from parents/guardians.
- Dignity & Respect: Treat all students with dignity, regardless of their personal circumstances or identity.
- Inclusive communication: Tutors must use clear, respectful, and professional language at all times. The use of discriminatory, offensive, or derogatory language is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
By contracting with Ascent Education, tutors commit to teaching in ways that uphold these principles and align with the NSW Child Safe Standards.
